Replacing poles

After using my tent for a while, I wanted to share some tips & tricks.

I the same problem that many of you had about a damaged hole on the stove side (windowless) side of the tent to replace the pole I had to collapsethat side of the tent after I had taken down the pipe and the stove. On the outside of the tent, unscrew the tie down as well as remove the hub cover on the inside of the tent. Completely remove the tent pole hub. The tent poles will push up through the hub and you can remove and replace them. Make sure to not touch any fiberglass as it can give you wicked splinters. Also make sure your tent is secure from the outside nothing on the roof and it is a relatively windless day. It took 2 people to reattach the poles and hub to the tent. Not an easy job! But doable :) it’s a sauna thing lol Hope this helps.

Hub with poles pushed through
Only needed a pair of long nose pliers
Unscrewed the tie down loop on outside of tent
Beware of fiberglass splinters

@maverick76 have to say I removed the stove for the room to work. The wall will collapse inward but as the wall comes in the pipe may swing down and - I don’t know - likely bonk a person in the head (don’t ask me how I know ha!) anyway, I did this as a single person it might be easier as a 2 person job. Just cause I’m a safety type (despite the above bonk ah-hem) good choice of bamboo because the flashpoint is ~400 degrees F but please make sure it is untreated so as not to be off gassing as you lounge ;) Hope this helps!

morning ! I too have a broken pole, currently used my inner MacGyver and modified a piece of bamboo to work for now. Do/did you have to take the stove out to do it? It appeared like the wall collapses in without having to remove it.
