Smoke in Tent
So got the new version 2.0 stove and did a season on it Saturday, today I put it in the tent and got it lite. Went out 20 minutes later and the tent had smoke in it. The stove was closed and I’m using the same wood as the previous stove. Do you think the seasoning wasn’t long enough? The tent inside smelled weird. Maybe did burn off everything it needed to?

Hey there!
From what you described, it does sound like the stove seasoning process might need a bit more time. While you seasoned it initially, we generally recommend letting the stove burn for 15–30 minutes with a full fire, or until the initial smell and smoke completely cease.
To address the smoke and smell you encountered:
- Season the stove again: Set it up outdoors and allow it to burn longer at a high temperature — perhaps 30 minutes or more — until there's no remaining smoke or odors.
- Ventilate the tent: If there's any lingering smell in the tent, opening it up to air out for a while can help eliminate any residual odors.
