Smoke in the tent is no good. If the chimney is clean check how you are loading your stove with wood on a cold start. Fill it up but don’t force the wood. I found if I over fill the stove, it can starve for oxygen when starting up and create a back draft into the tent. Once the fire is roaring and stove is hot, fill that sucker Up. I hope this helps.
