Doing my best! 2 years ago

Some questions after a few weeks of usage.

I am in love with my SweatTent and wanted to share the setup I have going on.

Some quality of life questions:

1) Where do y'all buy your wood from? I am thinking of getting a whole cord to make it more cost effective, but maybe there is a less extreme solution.

2) What do you do for lighting at night? Is there any kind of light I could hang up inside that could withstand the heat?

3) Do you use any kind of skin or hair products while in the sauna? I imagine it would be extra moisturizing and effective.

Facebook Marketplace is a great place to find “dry” and “seasoned” fire wood. These are great search terms to use when searching: dry seasoned firewood. I burn oak, ash, cherry and hickory in mine. I can usually find a face cord of wood on Marketplace delivered to me for around $80-100.

I usually get my wood from friends for free or facebook marketplace adds for free also if you do a lot of saunas it can get pricey overtime. For my lights, insithe sauna i use basic Xmas lights at the bottom of the sauna wiving around the poles. outside lights i use edison string lights from amazon or your local lowes/homedepot.

If you go to Facebook marketplace or craigslist and search for “mill ends”, you might be able to get scrap wood that is kiln dried and pretty inexpensive. A buddy of mine bought two cords a couple of years ago for about $100 delivered. We have only had our Sweat Tent for a few days, but that is my plan. Of course we live in Oregon, where the timber industry while diminished is still prominent.

How are you liking the XL? How long does it take to get past 165° when you fire up the stove? Love your set up, by the way!

Regarding lights from @slater in another post:

“I have found success with the LUCI solar light strings, I run them around the bottom of the tent on the farthest walls from the stove. It stays cool on the bottom foot, so I have seen no issues with heat.”

@yelbel What an incredible set up! Would it be okay if we posted your photo to our social media?

1) Lowe's typically has the best value for dry hardwood. You will want pieces cut to 12 inches in length. You can also buy a cord locally. P.S. we will be back with our subscription firewood service in July!

2) @slater can advise on the best lights!

3) We take full "showers" in our Sweat Tent - body wash, conditioner & all!
