Stove did not change color during seasoning
Hi. I just got my tent this week. When I was seasoning the stove it did not change color. I was following all the steps and burned wood in it for 4 hours. Maybe even longer. No change in color, the stove is still black. Is it safe to use inside the tent ?

Seasoning your stove won’t change the color. It burns off any oils and solvents left over from the manufacturing process. The stove’s appearance will change over time, as you use the stove and the rock basket, the water and heat will alter the color. Light that sucker up and enjoy the sauna.

The old stoves were not black. They were stainless. Those would have noticeable color change. It sounds like you seasoned your stove properly, go ahead and start sweating!

Hi wanna back max heat on this. also it wont change until much later after many uses. the color wont change.. you should expect some haze and or smoke to come off the stove during the seasoning process.. also, if you want your stove to last a long time keep it away from moisture, this will prevent adding corrosion and premature cracks. Hope this helps! Let me you if you have more questions

Hi Anya, what do you mean by "stove did not change color"? The stove will not change color through the seasoning process, it is just meant to burn off any lubricants or chemicals used with manufacturing. The stove will remain black.
