I actually use a wireless meat thermometer, like this one: https://buythermopro.com/product/tp20/

I just leave the probe in the tent, about mid-way up on the inside of the tent wall to get an accurate reading, and then set a alarm on the base station in my house to notify me when it hits 165. That way, I'm not constantly going outside to check on the temp. Works like a charm.
